Facebook as a marketing tool

I have been an artist for many years but have not actively pursued the marketing. For example, I signed up for an etsy account and never uploaded anything…
So, I started putting my stuff in an album on Facebook and occassionally add stuff, like book marks, necklaces, paintings…what ever I was inspired to do. Since I have been doing that, I have received a commission for something very different than I normally do and got asked a price on 2 of my pieces that are quite old…and a request for another possible commission! One evening’s work and 5 minutes to photograph and upload pictures to an album (that prompts people to look at the whole album) has possible made $85+ what ever my commissioned pieces bring!! I love that others love my stuff!!
